Company History

Jointing Tech Trace Heating are part of the Jointing Tech Group of companies. Founded in 1988 as Toolout Limited, the company specialized in tool hire sales primarily into the electrical market but grew quickly into the company we know and trust today.

The utility sector was privatized in the early 1990’s and Toolout created strategic partnerships with industry leading companies such as 3M, Cembre, and Fruse, expanding its reach into the medium voltage power distribution sector. This growth allowed Toolout to significantly increase its product range or products and services within the specialist power cable and cable accessories markets. To reflect the more comprehensive product range and services, Toolout became Jointing Technologies in 1998.

The expansion continued and Jointing Technologies acquired the Midlands based Power and Telecoms business and opened a branch in Bristol in 2001.

Adam Lloyd became Managing Director in 2006, building on the company ethos whist focusing on delivering a best in class range of products and services into the power industry.

Growth continued throughout the 2000’s with the addition of more leading industry names to the Jointing Tech portfolio. Brands such as ABB, Pfisterer, Tyco, Prysmian and Centriforce all came on board coming together with the existing market leaders to create a single source for all the power industry and allowing Jointing Tech to offer unparalleled levels of service alongside an extensive range of products to a national audience.

In 2012 Jointing Technologies invested in a purpose built 20,000 sqft Distribution Centre in the Midlands, stocking it with a multi-million pound inventory allowing Jointing Tech to continue to deliver the largest range of power cable and power cable accessories throughout the UK.
